BS5609 Certified for Durable Labels

The L502 has been tested and certified to produce BS 5609-compliant and GHS (Globally Harmonized System) labels when printing with pigment-based inks, which helps keep chemical manufacturers in compliance with packaging and transportation requirements. This testing evaluates the permanence of the print through abrasion and submersion in salt water for a period of 90 days.

**Disclaimer**

Individual printheads can only be used with one specific ink type. If switching between Dye and Pigment inks, the printhead must also be exchanged for an already primed printhead of the same ink type, or a new printhead that has not yet been primed. Printheads can be re-used if going from one ink type to another. If you plan to use both ink types for different applications in your production, we recommend labeling labeling your printheads to keep them from being mixed up and to reduce waste.
